Ice Morning

The morning began as usual, and I drove Kevin to school. When we arrived, we found the school closed. It turned out that all the schools in the county were on a two-hour delay due to icy road conditions. I hadn’t checked the weather news, and apparently neither did several other parents in the parking lot. One of Kevin’s classmates was there, and Kevin asked if they could play together while waiting for school to open. So Kevin and Nick had an impromptu playdate, which they thought was just the best way to begin a school day. In Justin’s preschool class, they are studying the letter 'W.' Today they made paper woodchuck puppets for their craft.
