Beltsville Adventist Kindergarten Round-Up

We are going through the pre-kindergarten process again - this time for Justin. We’ve decided that we would like Justin to be in the same school with Kevin. He is not wanting to change schools at this point, because he enjoys being in the same class with his cousin, Jaiden. He's asked me to ‘tell Uncle Darrell and Auntie Shar to have Jaiden come to the same school with me.’ It is really special to see how they’ve bonded being together in school. While sitting through the kindergarten round-up, I remembered back to being in the same place, and sitting through the same presentation when Kevin was ready to enter kindergarten three years ago. I was 6 months pregnant with Justin, not sure which school would be the best fit for our family, and just the thought of our child going to elementary school was overwhelming. This time, I was relaxed, knew what to expect, and am not pregnant : -)

Justin was in the next room being ‘tested.’ They were asked to write their name, write 1 thru 10, draw a self-portrait, draw and cut out some shapes, paste them onto a butterfly, and follow directions in making a picture with construction paper cut-outs. Afterwards, Justin and two of his future classmates (hopefully) pose for a picture.
