Pi Day - Kevin Wins A Pie

March 14th was Pi Day, a ‘holiday’ to celebrate the math constant, π. In Kevin’s school, the kids were given a sheet with the Pi number (π), with over 1800 decimal digits. The kids could enter a contest to see which boy and girl from each class could memorize the most digits.

Kevin didn’t spend much time memorizing at home last night, but when he came back from school, he brought home a prize for being the boy in his class that memorized the most decimal digits of π. The prize was a small apple pie. He said that he recited 21 digits from memory – 3.141592653589793238462. Good job on memorizing those numbers, Kevin!
