Dad is still in ICU. He had chest pains once again early this morning. His blood sugar results were high today, so was given 6 units of insulin. His blood sugar will continue to be monitored and medication given as needed. The doctors will do cardiac catheterization tomorrow morning to see if there are any blockages. Dad has authorized angioplasty or stents as needed. He will be transferred to the sister Henrico Doctors Hospital early in the morning. There is a complete cardiovascular system there. The procedure will be done at 9 am tomorrow. Dad is still not out of the woods. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
The boys: Kevin went to school today and is enjoying second grade. He was upset when we told him that he would miss school again tomorrow, but seems to understand that what is happening with Grandpa is serious.
Justin and Brian (and I for a little bit) fell asleep around 1:30 this afternoon. The two of them didn’t wake up until 7 pm, and that was because we woke them up to leave for our drive to Richmond. I hope they adjust to the time here soon – their staying up at night is taking a toll on Kenton and I. Right now, it is past 1 am in the morning, and the boys are still wide awake running around in the suite playing. How are we going to get them up at 6:30 in the morning?
