Kenton's Best Friend From Childhood

We spent most of the day with Kenton’s best friend from childhood. He has a daughter who is about four months younger than Justin. He brought us, along with his wife and daughter, to visit his parents. There, his best friends’ brother and son, met us also. The kids played together for hours – hide and seek, drawing, folding paper airplanes, and picking plums, grapes, and tomatoes from the garden. For dinner, we all went to a local restaurant – another a huge table set for twelve people in a private room upstairs. There were many seafood dishes served, and the meal lasted for over two hours. Afterwards, we went to Kenton’s friend’s home – a nice 2-bedroom apartment. We looked at photograph albums of their wedding, their daughter’s baby pictures, and pictures of Kenton and his friend years ago (pre-wives and kids). There were also pictures of us visiting 3 years ago (minus Brian of course). After about an hour, the kids started to get tired and sleepy, so we called it a day.

The boys: After eating dinner, the boys wanted to play. They ran back and forth around the table playing tag, then eventually got bored. I had brought our two Leapster games (along with a dozen cartridges), and the laptop with several computer CD games. The room had a large leather sofa along one wall, so all the kids had room to sit and play.

Most of the older folk keep saying that Kevin looks just like Kenton did as a child. They can’t get over the similarities. And, everyone says that Justin and Brian take after me.
