Dad’s Catheterization Successful - Praise God!

8:00 AM: We’re waiting with Dad for his cardiac catheterization procedure. It was originally scheduled for 7 am, but moved to 9 am. Mom, Darrell, Beryl, my uncle (dad’s brother), my cousin-in law, and I have been able to visit, and have worship and prayer with Dad. It is an emotional time, but everyone so far is able to keep their composure and stay positive.

10:30 AM: Dad just finished with the cardiac catheterization. The doctor said that it was successful. Two stents were placed which will allow good blood circulation to his heart once again. Quite a bit of hardened plaque was also removed using a rotablator. He will most likely be discharged over the weekend. The doctor says that when Dad recovers, he should be able to resume normal activities. Dad is still quite groggy from the procedure, but is very happy and relieved to be alive.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We are so thankful as a family for God’s goodness for continuing to watch and protect Dad. We are also very thankful for all the love and support we have received from family and friends. We hope that you continue to keep Dad in your prayers as he begins his recovery process.

Here is a copy of part of an email that my Mom wrote to family and friends: My family and I thank each of you for your concern and for praying for Pros. Some of you have brought the matter to your churches for prayer. Please thank your church members for including Pros in their prayers. We thank those of you who took time to call and send emails of inquiiry and encouragement to me and my family. Thank you for the passages from Scriptures that you shared with me. Thank you for the get well cards and e-card get well wishes. We appreciate everything. Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN, THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
