Kevin Is Chosen As Winner

When Kevin came home from school, he brought home a letter from a local fire department. It said that he had won a Fire Prevention Poster Contest. We didn’t even know he entered the contest. Apparently, each student in his school from kindergarten to sixth grade was given the opportunity to make a poster on fire prevention. The fire department will present an award to him at a ceremony over the weekend.

The temperature outside has finally cooled. Justin, Brian and I went to Pump It Up (indoor playground with large inflatable structures). It seemed like we had the place to ourselves because there were only six other kids there. We went back and forth between two rooms always having a large slide, obstacle course, or bounce round to ourselves.

Brian climbs even the tallest inflatable by himself now. The other mothers there were commenting that he was such a great climber, especially for being so small. He goes down all the slides himself except for the extra tall one (over 15 feet tall). He always wants me to go with him on that one. Justin would join us also, so the three of us would always slide down together. What a lot of fun!
