Visiting Grammie And Grandpa

The boys woke up at Grammie and Grandpa’s house. Kevin and Justin woke up first and asked to feed the cats. These cats are stray neighborhood cats that Dad feeds on a regular basis.

The boys favorite room in the house is the family room, so they all went there after feeding the cats. Kevin was trying to use a laptop while his brothers kept pulling him backwards. They did this over and over again, laughing aloud each time.

We spent quite a bit of time outdoors. There were a lot of baby jellyfishes that had washed up on the shore of the beach. Kevin and Brian tried to push them back into the water with sticks.
Kevin and Brian built ‘houses’ with sticks that had drifted up on shore. They even 'planted' a tree by the house. Both Kevin and Brian tried sitting in the house.

All three boys rode Grandpa’s Hoveround. Justin and Brian took turns riding with Kevin as the driver. Then Grandpa gave a ‘driving lesson’ to Justin and Brian separately. They really enjoy riding the Hoveround.

Justin played football with Kenton. They took turns hiking the ball to each other. Kenton would hike slowly and gently, and Justin was able to catch the football over half the time.

The boys posed for a picture with Grammie and Grandpa before leaving for the drive home. We left so Kevin could attend skate night at his school. For skate night, the theme was fall costumes. Kevin wore a robot costume with his sneaker skates. He had a blast skating with his classmates who were also dressed in different costumes. He says that he is able to skate faster now.

It was Justin’s first time at skate night. He wore his adjustable plastic roller skates over his sneakers. He learned very quickly. After half an hour of holding Kenton’s hand while skating, he was able to skate on his own. Of course, he fell down many times, but he would just get right back up and skate again.

We rented a pair of plastic roller skates for Brian. They fit perfectly on the smallest setting. This was Brian’s very first time to skate. He did very well, and was able to skate-walk holding onto my or Kenton’s hand. He preferred holding onto two hands so he could roll fast.
