The closest library is less than 2 miles from our house, and we go there to get books because it is convenient. But the library we go to weekly is 10 miles away. We find that their selection of books and DVDs is much larger than other libraries, they have many more computers available, and they have a tot play area. An added plus is that we know the manager of this library.

Today we joined their storytime for the first time. There were over 30 kids there, with almost as many mothers. We sang songs, listened to stories, and made a craft. The theme today was about counting. Justin joined in with the motions of all the songs, and he especially liked The Hungry Caterpillar puppet story. He’s had that book read to him so many times that he would say what would happen next out loud. After storytime was craft time - the boys made counting caterpillars.

It was Crazy Hair Day at Kevin’s school. Kevin had blue coloring on his hair, and it was spiky at the top. When dropping Kevin off at school, I went into his classroom and took a picture of all the kids (and teacher) with crazy hair.

Justin’s class went Rock hunting (they are continuing the study of the letter ‘R’). He brought home an egg carton full of his Rock collection. He must have expended a lot of energy looking for rocks because he was exhausted after class.
We are at my parents home once again. We hadn’t planned on going because of having such an activity-packed weekend ahead, but since neither of my siblings were going, I felt that we should. We didn’t tell them we were coming - we just decided to go after supper. We got the kids into their pajamas and all three boys fell asleep on the drive there. I called my parents a couple of minutes before we got to their house, and they were very surprised. As we drove in, we could see their smiling faces through the kitchen window.
