Weekend At Home

It was nice to be home for a full weekend – the first one in almost three months. It was a long weekend at that because of Columbus Day. Saturday was spent with our close friends from Maine. We went to church, cooked and ate lunch together, then went to a nearby park for the afternoon. Mutual good friends joined us. The guys played catch while we gals sat and talked at a picnic table. The kids played together using tree branches as toys. It is always wonderful to spend time with friends!

Most of Monday was spent doing yard work. We had a lot of leaves in our backyard, so we spent a couple of hours using a leaf blower to put the leaves into a pile. The boys had fun jumping in the pile. When mosquitoes started to bite, the boys went inside, and another couple of hours were spent mulching the leaves.
